Hi bminney, Thanks for sharing the photos. I recognise some of the places (never been to Beihei) but my photos are not nearly as good as yours. David

Thanks for that but you didn't see the hundreds that I left off! I just point & shoot but must say its a lovely camera, the Ricoh R4. Easy to carry around and very fast, love the macro as you can tell!

Hi Bminney
I enjoyed the photos. I was in Yangshuo in Feb 08 and got to se the Light Show. It was an amazing experience. For those who have not seen it is an outside show on the Li River. It is a re-enactment of a local folklore story. The show was created by Zhang Yimou the famous Chinese film director (The Road Home, Raise the Red Lantern, To Live) who is at present is artisitic director of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. He is known for his ability to create beautiful colour in his films. He was a cinematographer before he became a director. His brilliant sense of colour is evident in this show. I also enjoyed the Li River shots and of course Moon Hill. I recognised the shot from the park in Nanning which celebrates the many nationalities that make up China (and is a very popular place for wedding photos in Nanning).
Thanks
Marcus
